16.Cigars, Bruh!
Every single day, we will witness countless people either on the streets or outside their workplace - any place for that matter-, who kills their time by lighting a stick or two. Smoking does not only affect the smoker but also the person who inhales it. This is called, "Passive Smoking", there would be instances when we can't avoid breathing people's tobacco smoke but do you know that the non-smokers who's close to a person smoking, gets affected more than the smoker? Why is that? Because they inhale the contents of the cigarette being used. The ingredients on making a cigarette are chemicals and toxins that's poisonous.
Smoking doesn't only affect oneself but it also affects the environment. How is that possible? Well, the smoke that's released on the cigarette - as I have said before - has hundreds of chemicals which contributes to the environmental pollution; air, land and water deterioration. This is why there are numerous campaigns that prohibits this activity. One movement I would like to stress is the "Asia Pacific College's Anti-Smoking Campaign". It's a kind of movement which focuses on educating not only the students but also the employees - professors, security guards, custodians and so on - to be aware of the effects of smoking. One is not allowed to smoke on the school premises but there's a certain place for people who would like to light one which is placed away from non-smokers.
What good would smoking bring if it's a temporary way to calm ones nerves but makes a big permanent damage to ones body and surroundings? I would like you to support our campaign to raise more awareness on how you're wasting your precious life, decreasing your life span for a temporary solution.
as a nonsmoker i totally agree with this campaign and hoping that the admin will push through this campaign
